A TECHNIQUE DRIVEN Blog dedicated to mastery of surface design techniques. First we dye, overdye, paint, stitch, resist, tie, fold, silk screen, stamp, thermofax, batik, bejewel, stretch, shrink, sprinkle, Smooch, fuse, slice, dice, AND then we set it on fire using a variety of heat tools.
I've seen that quilt before in the picture with Laura Wasilowski, but didn't look at the silk painting blog or their website until today. Wow, it's amazing! Seeing their work makes me realize that I worry about everything too much when I make something (colors, composition, subject, quilting). I need to loosen up and go with it! Thanks for posting this, Beth.
