Jewelry by Ann

I like to make my own jewelry. It makes a welcome change to my textile works.
-Old bicycle tyres.( I got them for free at my bicycle repair shop)
-elastic band

The tubes are sliced up in small parts and cut through

These slices are then tied to an elastic band of chosen length

Cut e few bigger pieces of the tyre
Felt a little ball, using some wool, soap and warm water.
Then put this balls at various places of the necklace

The remaining slices of the tyre, have been used in a work which will be displayed at the exhibition in September

Use your imagination and design a nice " jewel" for yourself to wear or as a gift for a friend!

  2. Love it! I'll have to make a trip to my local bicycle repair shop to see if they have some spare tires!
