I now use ripped strps of my painted fabrics over paper coir as well, however i started with embroidery threads and waxed linen around jute! i took a class at the Academy of Arts in Honolulu in 198something and although i had a cast on my right arm (roller skating crash), i learned so much from Fern Jacobs.
